Intermediate Physics

iTalented Intermediate Physics is a bridge between introductory and advanced physics courses, specially designed for Middle schoolers to strengthen students' understanding of core physics concepts through hands-on labs and problem-solving activities.

This course covers motion, forces, energy, waves, and electricity with a balance of conceptual exploration and basic mathematical applications. Students will engage in challenging labs, real-world applications, and collaborative discussions to develop critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills. Providing a solid foundation for future physics courses, Intermediate Physics prepares students for more rigorous studies in Physics Honors and AP Physics.

About the teachers:

Dr. Shao is an experienced Physics teacher and a former associate professor in college. He has taught Physics Honor, AP Physics 1&2, AP Physics C ( Mechanics and E/M), f=ma and College Physics classes. Students found their interest in Physics and gain the confidence with his help.

Dr. Shao was graduated from University of Texas , Austin with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Before that, he was the youngest associate professor in Electrical Engineering and  taught many classes related physics, electronics and circuits. His quantum mechanic class delighted the college students. He received the best teacher awards. He has been working in a high tech company about 20 years.  He also enjoys helping the High school and college students in Physics.  He would like to share his knowledge and passion on physics with local students.
